Fernride is building the future of autonomous logistics by combining advanced automation technology with human‑guided teleoperations. We enable logistics companies to transition toward safer, more efficient, and more sustainable driverless operations. With strong expertise in robotics, AI, and automotive engineering, Fernride delivers scalable solutions that bring real‑world autonomy to industrial environments.

As part of the Engineering Enablement / Build & Infrastructure team, you will design and operate HIL and target CI systems that scale with product complexity while maintaining high quality and determinism. The goal is leverage: enabling product teams to validate changes early, automatically, and with confidence.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

  • Design, build, and operate HIL and target CI systems integrated into the company-wide CI pipeline.

  • Design and implement replay and resimulation setups, demonstrating understanding of embedded compute hardware, automotive networking, and camera ISP pipelines.

  • Automate HW/SW integration tests using emulation, simulation, and real hardware targets.

  • Develop high-quality, maintainable software for Restbus simulations (CAN), focusing on full automation.

  • Integrate hardware-centric validation workflows into our world-class Bazel build and test systems.

  • Improve observability, stability, and reproducibility of hardware-driven CI environments.

What you bring to the team:

  • Expert software engineering and implementation capability in C++, Rust, or Python. You must be capable of building and delivering complex HIL and CI integration systems from the ground up.

  • Experience in identifying key areas of impact and translating this with architectural decisions into working, production-ready systems.

  • Expertise in cross-domain troubleshooting and debugging across the hardware, software, and embedded stack of an autonomous vehicle.

  • Deep understanding of autonomous vehicle components, including sensors, networking, and compute architectures.

  • Solid understanding of modern CI/CD systems and how to integrate hardware-dependent workflows.

  • Hands-on experience with vehicle communication buses (e.g., CAN) and developing automated simulations and test tooling.

  • A quality-first mindset and the discipline to design reliable, repeatable test setups.

Your Benefits:

  • Direct impact: See your contributions rapidly integrated from cutting-edge research into industrialized products, flying in the field within short development cycles.

  • Culture & Environment: A dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative startup environment with flat hierarchies, efficient collaboration, and a strong emphasis on continuous learning opportunities.

  • Work-life Balance: We offer flexible work schedules, and 30 days of paid vacation each year to support your personal and professional life.

  • Lunch Benefit: We promote healthy eating and the well-being of our employees with a monthly lunch budget.

  • Health & Wellness: We support your physical well-being with a company-subsidized eGym Wellpass membership, giving you access to thousands of gyms and sports facilities.
