As a Quality Manager (m/f/d), you will be a key part of our Production & Assembly Team, supporting the local manufacturing of advanced drone systems in Romania. Together with our World-Class Team, you will play an empowering role in delivering systems for one of Romania's most significant defense procurement programs, with drone assembly taking place entirely in Romania under the European SAFE initiative. You will be working closely with stakeholders from the Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Programs departments to establish and maintain a world-class quality management system. As Quantum Systems continues to expand its industrial footprint in Romania, your mission will be to ensure the highest standards of product quality, process excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement while supporting the delivery of mission-critical systems trusted by NATO forces and deployed in demanding operational environments across Europe and Ukraine.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

  • Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System across the Romanian production site.

  • Define, implement, and monitor quality standards, procedures, and performance metrics.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry, customer, and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and root cause analysis activities.

  • Establish and oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection processes.

  • Manage internal and external audits and support certification activities.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to improve product quality and process capability.

  • Monitor supplier quality performance and work with Supply Chain teams to resolve quality issues.

  • Analyze quality data, KPIs, non-conformities, and production trends to identify improvement opportunities.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving methodologies.

  • Support new product introductions and industrialization activities from a quality perspective.

  • Develop and mentor local quality personnel and foster a strong quality culture across the organization.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer quality topics and escalations.


What you bring to the team:

  • Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.

  • Several years of experience in quality management within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, electronics, or other highly regulated industries.

  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and international quality standards.

  • Experience leading audits, compliance activities, and certification processes.

  • Proven track record in root cause analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Experience with supplier quality management and production quality controls.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APQP, FMEA, 8D, or similar quality methodologies.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret quality metrics and drive data-based decisions.

  • Leadership experience and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Professional fluency in English.

  • Romanian language skills are highly desirable.

  • Structured, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach with a strong commitment to operational excellence.
