As a Technical Drafter, you will become an integral part of our Mechanical Development team, supporting the development of our Reliant platform – a next-generation long-range eVTOL unmanned aerial system designed for demanding ISR and logistics missions. Reliant combines exceptional endurance, modularity, and operational flexibility to deliver mission-critical capabilities in the most challenging environments.

Working closely with our Mechanical Development Engineers, Production Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams, you will transform innovative mechanical concepts into precise manufacturing documentation. Your work will ensure that our designs are accurately documented, production-ready, and maintain the highest quality standards throughout the product lifecycle. By creating and maintaining world-class technical documentation, you will directly contribute to bringing one of Quantum-Systems' most advanced UAV platforms into successful serial production.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

  • Create and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed 2D manufacturing drawings based on engineering concepts and design requirements.

  • Prepare production-ready technical documentation, including assembly drawings, detail drawings, exploded views, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).

  • Apply company drafting standards, GD&T, tolerances, and manufacturing notes to ensure high-quality documentation.

  • Support Mechanical Development Engineers by implementing design updates and maintaining CAD data throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Process engineering changes (ECR/ECO) and ensure timely updates of drawings and documentation within the PLM system.

  • Collaborate with Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Suppliers to clarify drawing-related questions and support manufacturability.

  • Maintain CAD libraries, templates, and documentation standards to ensure consistency across the Reliant platform.

  • Support prototype builds and production by providing accurate technical documentation and resolving documentation-related issues.

What you bring to the team:

  • You have completed vocational training as a Technical Product Designer, Technical Drafter or a comparable technical qualification.

  • You have experience creating manufacturing drawings and mechanical documentation in a CAD environment.

  • You are proficient in CATIA V5 (or comparable CAD software); experience with PLM systems is an advantage.

  • You have a solid understanding of technical drawings, GD&T, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation.

  • You work accurately, systematically, and have a keen eye for detail.

  • You enjoy working closely with engineers and production teams to ensure high-quality documentation.

  • Communication in English is a matter of course for you.
