E/E Integration Engineer (f/m/d) - UAV Systems

As an E/E Integration Engineer for UAV systems, you will bridge the gap between electrical design, mechanical integration, and system architecture. You will be responsible for developing and integrating wiring harnesses from schematic design through to 3D installation within complex unmanned aerial platforms. Working closely with systems engineering, avionics, and mechanical design teams, you ensure that electrical systems are robust, manufacturable, and fully aligned with overall vehicle architecture.

This role requires a strong understanding of electrical schematics, harness design, and spatial integration in 3D environments, as well as the ability to interpret and contribute to system architecture diagrams. You will play a key role in ensuring that UAV platforms meet performance, reliability, and certification requirements.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Design electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using EPLAN Electric P8

• Develop and route wiring harnesses in 3D using EPLAN Harness proD and CATIA

• Integrate electrical systems into UAV structures, ensuring optimal routing, protection, and maintainability

• Collaborate with mechanical, avionics, and systems engineering teams to align on interfaces and constraints

• Interpret and contribute to system architecture diagrams and electrical system layouts

• Define and manage electrical interfaces between subsystems (power, data, signal)

• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards, safety requirements, and best practices

• Support prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical integration issues

• Generate and maintain design documentation, including BOMs, harness drawings, and integration guidelines

• Drive continuous improvement in design processes, tools, and integration workflows

What you bring to the team:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field

• Strong experience in electrical schematic design and wiring harness development

• Hands-on expertise with:

  • EPLAN Electric P8

  • EPLAN Harness proD

  • CATIA (Electrical or Mechanical workbenches)

• Solid understanding of electrical system architecture and interface definition

• Experience integrating electrical systems into 3D mechanical environments

• Familiarity with UAV, aerospace, or automotive E/E systems is a strong plus

• Knowledge of signal integrity, power distribution, and EMI/EMC considerations

• Ability to read and create architecture and block diagrams

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Comfortable working in cross-functional, fast-paced engineering teams

• Fluent in English (German is a plus)
