In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the development of a versatile unmanned aerial platform designed for a wide range of mission profiles, leveraging Quantum Systems’ extensive experience and proven technology stack, which is already well established in the global UAV domain. The new platform is intended to meet the most actual demands of the modern battlefield and demonstrate the advantages of applying innovative approaches in highly complex combat environments

This is a full-time office job. Candidates must be located in Kyiv.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Lead the end-to-end product development process of a next-generation fixed-wing UAV platform under tight deadlines and high operational demands. 

• Collect, validate, and structure capability requests through direct engagement with military users and other operational stakeholders, translating them into a prioritized product backlog with clear acceptance criteria. 

• Drive system requirements definition, feasibility analysis, MVP architecture design, and planning of subsequent platform revisions (considering different target markets). 

• Actively collaborate with European office teams to align requirements, decisions, and the product roadmap. 

• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, embedded, software, testing) to align priorities and resolve cross-functional dependencies. 

• Ensure proper backlog ownership in Jira and continuously refine it based on real-world field feedback and technical constraints. 

• Define the product roadmap, track implementation progress, and validate deliverables against both technical and operational criteria. 

• Coordinate system integration, support ground and flight testing, including rapid R&D cycles with end users, while maintaining the required level of documentation. 

• Act as the central point of product decision-making, ensuring alignment between user needs, technical constraints, and overall system vision.

What you bring to the team:

• 5+ years of experience in Product Manager / Product Owner, Systems Engineer, or Technical Project Manager roles within UAV, aerospace, or complex hardware domains. 

• Hands-on experience in UAV development (preferably fixed-wing) from concept to operational deployment. 

• Basic understanding of UAV system architecture: airframe, propulsion, avionics, control systems, and payload. 

• Experience working under tight deadlines, high uncertainty, and high responsibility environments. 

• Practical experience with Agile methodologies in multidisciplinary engineering teams. 

• Strong proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and backlog management practices. 

• Ability to define structured requirements with clear, measurable acceptance criteria based on operational context. 

• Experience participating in system validation, including ground and flight testing. 

• An established network within military or defense stakeholders will be a strong advantage. 

• Strong communication skills to effectively bridge engineering, management, and external partners (including international teams). 

• Fluent in English. 

Additional assets for this role:

• Direct involvement in the development of UAVs, unmanned systems, or other mission-critical platforms. 

• Military background or experience of close collaboration with armed forces units. 

• Experience working with European partners or in international teams. 

• Familiarity with NATO/STANAG standards and documentation related to unmanned systems.
