
As a Production Manager, you will be a key part of our Production & Assembly Team, supporting the local manufacturing of advanced drone systems in Romania. Together with our World-Class Team, you will play an empowering role in delivering systems for one of Romania's most significant defense procurement programs, with drone assembly taking place entirely in Romania under the European SAFE initiative. The Romanian production site will not only support local defense programs but will also contribute to fulfilling customer orders across Europe and support the delivery of mission-critical systems for Ukraine, reinforcing Quantum Systems' commitment to strengthening European security and defense capabilities.
As part of this strategic investment, Quantum Systems is rapidly expanding its presence in Romania and plans to hire up to 50 employees in 2026 and up to 150 employees in 2027. You will be working closely with stakeholders from the Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Program Management teams to establish and scale production operations in Romania. Your mission will be to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes while driving operational excellence, workforce development, and on-time delivery of mission-critical systems deployed across Europe and Ukraine.

What is your Day to Day Mission:
Lead and manage all production and assembly operations at the Brasov site.
Build, develop, and mentor high-performing production teams during the site's ramp-up phase.
Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery commitments are achieved.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Monitor and optimize production workflows, resource utilization, and capacity planning.
Collaborate closely with Supply Chain and Material Planning teams to ensure material availability and uninterrupted production.
Work with Engineering teams to support product industrialization and manufacturing readiness.
Establish and maintain production KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for production-related issues.
Support workforce planning, shift organization, and operational scaling activities.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence throughout the organization.
Contribute to the development of manufacturing strategies supporting future growth and production expansion.
What you bring to the team:
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related technical field.
Several years of experience in production management within manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, electronics, or similar industries.
Proven leadership experience managing production teams in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of assembly operations, production planning, manufacturing processes, and operational performance management.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of quality management principles and production-related compliance requirements.
Experience with ERP systems and production reporting tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a dynamic growth environment.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience supporting manufacturing scale-up, industrialization, or greenfield operations is highly desirable.
Professional fluency in English.
