As a Quality Control Technician, you will be a key part of our Quality Team, supporting the local manufacturing of advanced drone systems in Romania. Together with our World-Class Team, you will play an empowering role in delivering systems for one of Romania's most significant defense procurement programs, with drone assembly taking place entirely in Romania under the European SAFE initiative. The Romanian production site will not only support local defense programs but will also contribute to fulfilling customer orders across Europe and support the delivery of mission-critical systems for Ukraine, reinforcing Quantum Systems' commitment to strengthening European security and defense capabilities.

As part of this strategic investment, Quantum Systems is rapidly expanding its presence in Romania and plans to hire up to 50 employees in 2026 and up to 150 employees in 2027. The Brasov site will become a key manufacturing and operational hub within our European production network, creating exciting opportunities for professionals who want to contribute to cutting-edge defense and autonomous technology programs.

You will be working closely with stakeholders from the Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure that all components, assemblies, and finished UAV systems meet Quantum Systems' quality standards and customer requirements. Your mission will be to identify defects, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help deliver reliable mission-critical systems deployed across Europe and Ukraine.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of components, assemblies, and finished products.

  • Verify compliance with technical drawings, specifications, assembly instructions, and quality requirements.

  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using appropriate measuring and testing equipment.

  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.

  • Identify, document, and report non-conformities and product deviations.

  • Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities.

  • Ensure non-conforming materials and products are properly identified and controlled.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to resolve quality-related issues.

  • Participate in product testing and validation activities when required.

  • Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with quality procedures, work instructions, and safety requirements.

  • Contribute to maintaining a strong quality culture across the production organization.


What you bring to the team:

  • Technical education or vocational training in Manufacturing, Electronics, Mechanics, Quality, or a related field.

  • Experience in quality control, inspection, testing, or manufacturing environments.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.

  • Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers, gauges, multimeters, or similar inspection tools.

  • Understanding of quality control methods and inspection procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

  • Experience identifying and documenting defects and non-conformities.

  • Basic understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action processes.

  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Professional working proficiency in English.

  • Romanian language
