Strategic Communications Lead

About the Role

As Strategic Communications Lead Ukraine (Kyiv), you will shape and tell the Quantum Systems story in Ukraine. You will be responsible for strengthening Quantum Systems’ reputation among national media, partners, and the wider ecosystem. 

You will work as part of the global Strategic Communications team, at the intersection of Public Affairs and Public Relations. As Team Lead Ukraine you will have to coordinate national efforts in both public relations and marketing for Ukraine, while coordinating strategic messaging with the global StratCom team, based in Berlin. 

This role requires a team player who combines strategic thinking, local insight, and international perspective - someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where technology, innovation, and defence meet. You will closely work with the leadership team in Ukraine, the event manager, and colleagues around the globe to achieve strong results. 

What Is Your Day to Day Mission

• Lead the Ukrainian communications efforts, with a focus on public relations and strategic communications

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Ukrainian and international media in Ukraine, opinion leaders, government and military communicators, and other institutional and industry partners

• Coordinate and execute Quantum Systems’ local PR strategy aligned with the global strategic communications team

• Draft and localize press releases, statements, social media posts and media materials (Ukrainian and English) 

• Support leadership in preparing for interviews, conferences, and public appearances 

• Work with the Strategic Communications team in Berlin and with leadership and event management in Ukraine

• Collaborate closely with the global Marketing Team in Germany  

What brings you to the team:

• Degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, International Relations, International Business Management or related field 

• 3+ years of experience in public relations, ideally in tech, defence, or international organizations 

• Strong network within Ukrainian media and public sector communications 

• Excellent writing and storytelling skills in Ukrainian and English (German is a plus but not required) 

• Ability to translate complex technology into clear and compelling messages 

• Hands-on mindset, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-changing environment
