Team Lead - Embedded Linux (m/f/d)

To strengthen our software organization, we are looking for you as an Embedded Linux Team Lead who takes ownership of systems that make a real difference in the field. In this role, you provide technical and disciplinary leadership and shape the foundation of our mission-critical platforms.

Your work enables high-performance, robust, and reliable embedded systems designed to operate under demanding real-world conditions. You set technical direction, ensure long-term system stability, and guide complex embedded solutions from initial concept through to operational deployment.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Technical and disciplinary leadership of an embedded Linux development team

• Planning, coordination, and prioritization of development tasks and resources

• Technical ownership of embedded Linux platforms (BSP, kernel, drivers, user space)

• Close collaboration with product management, hardware development, and embedded software development

• Ensuring high code quality, architectural standards, and robust development processes

• Coaching, mentoring, and continuous development of team members

• Contribution to technology decisions and long-term strategic development

What you bring to the team:

• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a comparable qualification

• Several years of experience in embedded Linux development

• Strong expertise in:

  1. Linux kernel, device trees, and driver development

  2. Build systems such as Yocto or Buildroot

  3. C/C++ (ideally also shell scripting and Python)

• Experience in technical leadership or in a senior/lead engineer role

• Structured, solution-oriented working style

• Very good English skills (German language skills are a plus)
