How we hire Early Professionals

Unser Bewerbungsprozess für Early Professionals besteht aus mehreren zentralen Schritten, um sicherzustellen, dass du sowohl fachlich als auch persönlich gut ins Team passt.

1. Show us who you are 📝

Our multi-step application process ensures that you are both a professional and personal fit for our team.

2. Screening Call with the Recruiter 📞

If your application stands out, our recruiting team will reach out for an initial interview (approx. 30 minutes). Here, we’ll discuss your motivation, previous experience, and availability. You'll also gain insights into the role and our company. Of course, you’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions.

3. Technical Assessment 🎯

This step helps us better understand your skills—and allows you to get a clearer picture of our expectations and tasks.

We use the following formats for assessment.

Technical Interview

A discussion with the hiring manager to evaluate how you understand and approach technical challenges. This involves using relevant terminology correctly, analyzing the problem, and developing creative solutions. The conversation includes brainstorming, where you can showcase your thought process, abilities, and problem-solving skills.

Live Coding

In a real-time coding interview, you will solve a programming task without AI assistance. The focus is on your problem-solving approach, code quality, and technical understanding while working in a shared development environment.

Case Study

You will receive a problem to analyze and solve independently from home—such as a comparative analysis with a structured presentation. The task will be sent to you in advance with a flexible deadline, and after submission, the hiring manager will evaluate your solution.

4. Personal Interview 🤝

You're almost there!

If your previous interviews were online, we will now invite you to our office in Gilching.

Here, you can explore the workspace, meet your future manager and colleagues, and have an informal discussion. This final step helps both sides get a feel for future collaboration.

5. Final Decision & Offer 🎉

After the interview, you will receive feedback as soon as possible. If everything aligns, you will receive your job offer—and we’ll be excited to welcome you to the team!

FAQ

How big are the teams?

Team sizes vary depending on the department and area of responsibility. While our R&D departments, as well as teams in marketing and sales, typically consist of 5 to 10 members, our production team is significantly larger, with over 20 employees. This ensures that each department is optimally structured to meet its specific requirements.

Are working student positions limited to a specific duration?

The contract for a working student position is not time-limited but is tied to your enrollment status. It remains valid as long as you are enrolled at a university.

What language skills are required?

We are an international company, so good English skills are essential for communication. Depending on the department and role, good German proficiency may also be required, but this will be specified in the job posting.

I have submitted my application - when can I expect a response?

Our goal is to provide feedback within 7 days. In exceptional cases, when we receive a high number of applications, this period may extend to a maximum of 14 days.

First interview with the recruiter – what can I expect?

The interview takes place in a friendly and professional atmosphere. You’ll get to know Quantum-Systems, the recruiter, and the role better while also showcasing your skills. The main goal is to align expectations and requirements and prepare you for the next steps in the process. Just be yourself – it’s all about open communication.

Can I switch departments during my time at the company?

For students writing their thesis and for interns, switching departments is not possible. However, working students may be able to change departments under certain conditions.
