Head of Production (m/f/d)

As Head of Production (m/f/d), you will be responsible for a growing department with currently 40 employees, organized into three teams. You will play a key role in the development of our production processes and structures, actively shaping the future of drone technology.

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders from all relevant departments to make production more cost-effective, efficient, and scalable. From day one, you will take on responsibility and enjoy great creative freedom to optimize existing processes and implement innovative solutions and technologies.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Disciplinary and professional leadership of three teams: Production I & II and Repair & Maintenance.

• Development, motivation, and targeted promotion of your direct and indirect employees to achieve top performance.

• Responsibility for the continuous improvement of existing production processes and the expansion of additional production capacities during a strong growth phase.

• Optimization of production workflows, automation, and digitization to increase efficiency and scalability.

• Implementation of innovative manufacturing technologies and lean management principles.

• Ensuring a stable, cost-effective, and efficient operational organization.

• Structuring and driving forward new production concepts, sustainable solutions, and future-oriented technologies.

• Close collaboration with Sales, R&D, Supply Chain, and Quality Management to ensure smooth production processes.

• Responsibility for the on-time and quality-compliant manufacturing and assembly of complex unmanned aerial systems.

• Analysis and optimization of production KPIs and quality standards to achieve sustainable improvements.

What you bring to the team:

• You are passionate about drones or aerospace technology.

• You have a technical or business degree or completed vocational training.

• Working with ERP and production management systems is second nature to you.

• Experience in implementing automation solutions or Industry 4.0 technologies is a plus.

• You have extensive experience in disciplinary and professional leadership of multiple teams in a production environment.

• You think entrepreneurially, strategically, and conceptually, using these skills to optimize and develop structures.

• You are a dynamic leader with strong self-motivation, drive, and the ability to inspire and motivate your team.

• You challenge the status quo, take an analytical approach to challenges, and implement pragmatic, visionary solutions.

• Ideally, you have experience in work preparation, repair & maintenance, and supply chain management.

• You communicate clearly, set priorities, and make well-founded decisions in complex situations.

• Structured work, efficiency, and a hands-on mentality are natural to you.

• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, are required.
