Software Assurance & Certification Manager - Aerospace Systems (m/f/d)

In this role, you act as the bridge between Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Quality Assurance, ensuring that our software development life cycle is not only compliant with regulatory standards (e.g. DO-178C, DO-331, EASA, FAA) but also highly efficient, scalable, and innovation-driven.

This position is ideal for professionals with strong experience in aerospace or safety-critical software development, who are eager to make a direct impact on the certification and operational excellence of next-generation flight systems.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Lead and refine our software development and assurance processes to meet aerospace certification standards (DO-178C/DO-331).

• Ensure compliance with EASA, FAA, and other authorities, including preparation of regulatory documentation and facilitation of audits.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Flight Controls, Avionics, Systems Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure seamless integration of process and certification requirements.

• Drive supplier audits and reviews, ensuring quality and compliance across the supply chain.

• Facilitate PI Planning & Agile practices, aligning software goals with program milestones.

• Analyze process metrics and implement continuous improvement to achieve lean and robust development cycles.

• Support critical design and certification reviews (e.g. SOI stages, PDR, CDR) and ensure software readiness for system integration.

What you bring to the team:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience in software process management, quality assurance, or certification in aerospace, aviation, or safety-critical industries.

• Proven track record with DO-178C / DO-331, model-based development, and certification processes.

• Familiarity with EASA/FAA certification frameworks, including SOI reviews and authority interactions.

• Experience in software audits, supplier management, and process documentation.

• Strong knowledge of Agile / SAFe frameworks and facilitation of PI Planning.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills to drive alignment across multi-disciplinary teams.

  Bonus:

• Hands-on experience in UAV, eVTOL, or aerospace systems.

• Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO, SPICE) and tools like Jira, GitLab.

• Certifications in Project Management (PMP), Quality Assurance (CQE, Six Sigma), or similar
