Account Manager Defence & Government (m/f/d)

As a Key Account Manager for the German Armed Forces, you will take on a pivotal role within our sales team and serve as the main point of contact for our customers and partners in the defense sector. Together with a highly skilled team, you will help shape the future of drone technology and push the boundaries of what is technically possible.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with colleagues from Sales, Program Management, Bid & Proposal, Marketing, Product Management, Production, and Supply Chain to drive Quantum Systems’ success and growth within the government and defense sector. You will develop strategies, build partnerships, and implement initiatives that directly support our mission — to set new standards for aerial data collection with unmanned systems.


What is your Day to Day Mission:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders within the German Armed Forces (e.g. BAAINBw, BMVg, Planning Office, and related institutions).

  • Build strategic alliances in the government and defense sectors to position our product portfolio effectively with key decision-makers.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, including emerging technologies, projects, and program fields.

  • Support sales and program activities with public sector clients, and maintain strong networks within procurement organizations (B2G).

  • Manage day-to-day sales operations, including CRM maintenance, offer development, and customer communication.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create product-specific materials and presentations.

  • Conduct continuous market and competitor analysis and translate insights into actionable strategies.

  • Plan and execute sales-related activities such as flight demonstrations and promotional events.


What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales or business development, ideally in the fields of UAS, AI, software-defined defense, or military procurement.

  • Familiarity with BAAINBw and German Armed Forces procurement processes or experience working with public sector organizations in the defense domain.

  • Solid understanding of military systems, including UAV hardware, software, and AI-driven solutions.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, a structured working style, and a hands-on, proactive mindset.

  • Fluency in German and English is required.
