We are looking for an experienced and driven Business Development Manager Defense to strengthen our team. In this role, you will be a key driver in expanding our defense business — with direct impact on strategic customers, partnerships, and the deployment of cutting-edge UAV and AI technologies.

You will operate at the intersection of technology, government, and industry. A particular focus lies on the procurement processes of BAAINBw and the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). You will actively shape how our solutions are applied in operational environments.


What is your Day to Day Mission:

  • Business Development: Identify and acquire new business opportunities in the UAV and dual-use technology sectors, focusing on BAAINBw and German Armed Forces procurement processes.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, particularly leading OEMs, to foster collaboration and mutual growth.

  • Procurement Processes: Manage and navigate complex procurement procedures while ensuring compliance with BAAINBw and German Armed Forces requirements.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market and competitive research to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Proposal Management: Prepare and submit high-quality proposals and bids aligned with customer needs and company objectives.

  • Project Management: Lead and execute business development projects, ensuring adherence to budget, timelines, and quality standards.

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to align business development strategies with organizational goals.

  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on business development activities, progress, and outcomes.

What you bring to the team:

  • You hold degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.

  • You have at least 3–5 years of experience in business development with a focus on defense or dual-use technologies. Alternatively, you bring experience in complex, regulated B2G or B2B environments. Direct experience with BAAINBw and Bundeswehr procurement processes is a strong advantage.

  • You have a solid understanding of military systems, ideally in the areas of UAV hardware, software, AI, and software-defined defense solutions.

  • You can demonstrate a proven track record in business development and in managing strategic partnerships.

  • You have excellent negotiation, communication, and networking skills.

  • You are confident in handling complex procurement processes and regulatory requirements.

  • You possess strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • You have experience in project management and bid preparation.

  • You are fluent in German and English.
