Development Engineer Production (m/f/d) - Focus Hardware

As a Development Engineer, you will play a key role within our Production Engineering Team, bringing your own ideas to life by developing new test systems and optimizing production processes. Together with our world-class team of currently 10 members, you will play a central role in pushing the boundaries of drone technology.

You will work closely with stakeholders across Production and Development to take our manufacturing capabilities to the next level and enable our rapid growth. By optimizing production processes and developing new testing solutions, you will support Quantum Systems in its mission to make unmanned aerial systems (sUAVs) the standard for aerial data collection solutions.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Develop and implement test systems for our production facilities and suppliers.

• Document development activities in our PLM system.

• Coordinate with and provide support to teams at our other locations.

• Create work instructions and test specifications for production.

• Perform root-cause analyses of production issues.

• Analyze and evaluate test results.

• Act as the interface between our development departments and production.

What you bring to the team:

• You have a completed degree or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a comparable field.

• You have experience with CAD design using CATIA V5.

• Ideally, you have experience with Python or C# and GUI frameworks such as Tk or Qt for frontend or tool development.

• You have a personal interest in areas such as model building, drones, electronics, 3D printing, the maker community, or similar fields.

• Your open, communicative, friendly, and professional manner makes it easy for you to build trust and establish yourself as an internal expert.

• You are highly self-motivated and enjoy taking ownership of your area of responsibility and driving it forward independently.

  Communicating in both English and German comes naturally to you.
