Embedded Software Test Engineer (m/f/d)

As an Embedded Software Test Engineer, you hold a significant key position within our Embedded Software Team. Your task is to develop and implement test strategies to ensure that our drones operate safely and autonomously in the air. With our world-class team, currently comprising six members, you will play a central role in pushing the boundaries of drone technology. ​

You will collaborate closely with the hardware development and production departments to ensure the quality and reliability of our modules and their software.​

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• You design, document, and implement tests according to functional requirements (focused on HIL component and system integration tests)​

• You design, set up and maintain test hardware and integrate it into our CI pipeline​

• Conception, design, and implementation of an automated testing rig / framework​

• Conception and implementation of automated analysis for flight log files​

• You analyze complex issues or misbehavior ​

• Debugging / tracing of code base for code-coverage / functionality testing​

• Support of the flight test team and production department​

What you bring to the team:

• You have completed a degree in software engineering / electrical engineering.​

• You are experienced in writing embedded codes for microcontrollers. Proficiency in C language.​

• Proficient knowledge about low level communication interfaces (CAN, UART, I2C, ...).​

• You have a proficient understanding of embedded software, general microcontrollers (ARM, Cortex-M), excellent diagnostic skills, proficient reading and understanding of electronic schematics.​

• You have a proficient handling of software management tools like Git and Gitlab.​

• You have experience with CI/CD pipeline, good Python skills and experience with test frameworks (pytest, NI Teststand).​

• You are highly self-motivated and drive your area of responsibility independently.​

• Due to your open, communicative, friendly, and competent attitude, it is easy for you to be considered as an internal expert.​
