Financial Controller (m/f/d) - Quantum Frontline Industries

Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI) is a newly established German-Ukrainian defence joint venture between Quantum Systems and Frontline Robotics, created under the Build with Ukraine initiative. For the first time, Ukrainian drones will be manufactured on an industrial scale in Europe, combining Ukrainian battlefield-proven technology with German industrial automation to create a new model of cross-border defence co-production: the German Model.

About the role

We are looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to support the financial steering of a growing business. This role combines controlling, reporting, cash planning, and finance process improvement, with a strong focus on building reliable structures in a dynamic environment.

You will work closely with the Head of Finance & Administration (Kaufm. Leiter) and act as a key interface between finance, operations, purchasing, warehouse, and external finance providers. A particular focus of the role is ensuring strong financial visibility and improving finance-related processes in Odoo, our ERP and accounting system.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Assist in preparing and maintain the company’s budget, forecast, and liquidity plan

• Monitor actuals versus budget and prepare variance analyse

• Prepare monthly management reporting and support financial decision-making

• Track costs, cash flow, and working capital developments

• Coordinate the day-to-day cooperation with the external accountant and support the month-end close process

• Oversee finance-related coordination with the external payroll provider

• Review and support payment approval workflows and financial controls

• Act as finance key user for Odoo and improve finance processes in the ERP

• Strengthen the interface between purchasing, warehouse, and accounting

• Help build scalable finance processes and support the future development of the finance function

What you bring to the team:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Controlling, Business Administration, or a related field

• Relevant experience in controlling, finance, or accounting-related roles

• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost controlling

• Good understanding of finance processes and financial statements

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, ideally Odoo

• Strong analytical skills and a structured, reliable way of working

• Ability to work across functions and improve processes in a practical way

• Professional working proficiency in English and German
