As Head of Drone Port Engineering, you take full end-to-end ownership of our Drone Port and drive its development into a robust, scalable, and market-ready product.

This role goes beyond traditional engineering leadership: you combine technical excellence with strong execution capabilities and successfully bring complex systems into real-world operation.

You are responsible for product, delivery, and customer success—with the goal of establishing a reliable, fully automated end-to-end solution in the field.


Drone Port Quantum-Systems

What is your Day to Day Mission:

Product & System Ownership

  • Overall responsibility for the technical development, product maturity, and deployment of the Drone Port

  • Define and implement the technical vision and system architecture

  • Ensure quality, stability, and scalability in real-world operations

  • Translate developments into robust, market-ready product solutions

  • Reduce technical risks and manage overall system complexity

Delivery & Customer Projects

  • End-to-end ownership across the full product lifecycle (development, integration, deployment, operations)

  • Drive and ensure successful execution of customer projects (delivery ownership)

  • Responsibility for timeline, quality, budget, and deliverability

  • Close alignment with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and successful project delivery

Engineering Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, lead, and develop a cross-functional engineering team

  • Scale team structure and take ownership of hiring and performance management

  • Develop a high-performing, self-driven team

  • Foster a hands-on, solution-oriented working culture

Technical Excellence & Execution

  • Hands-on resolution of critical technical and system challenges

  • Lead complex development and integration projects

  • Prioritize development initiatives based on product and customer requirements

  • Shorten development cycles and improve time-to-market

Stakeholder & Business Alignment

  • Close collaboration with Sales, Business Development, and internal stakeholders

  • Contribute to product strategy and commercial decision-making

  • Select, manage, and integrate external partners and suppliers

  • Ensure transparent communication of progress, risks, and decisions


What you bring to the team:

  • Degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a comparable field

  • Several years of experience in a technical leadership role within a complex, hardware-driven product environment

  • Proven track record in the development, integration, and delivery of complex systems (hardware, software, robotics)

  • Strong background in robotics, autonomous systems, or mechatronic system design

  • Excellent project management and delivery capabilities in cross-functional environments

  • Ability to lead complex projects under time pressure and bring them to successful completion

  • Capability to operate both hands-on at a deep technical level and strategically at a leadership level

  • Experience working directly with customers, partners, and external stakeholders

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership of product and business outcomes
