As a Production Operator, you will be a key part of our Production & Assembly Team, supporting the local manufacturing of advanced drone systems in Romania. Together with our World-Class Team, you will play an empowering role in delivering systems for one of Romania's most significant defense procurement programs, with drone assembly taking place entirely in Romania under the European SAFE initiative. The Romanian production site will not only support local defense programs but will also contribute to fulfilling customer orders across Europe and support the delivery of mission-critical systems for Ukraine, reinforcing Quantum Systems' commitment to strengthening European security and defense capabilities.

As part of this strategic investment, Quantum Systems is rapidly expanding its presence in Romania and plans to hire up to 50 employees in 2026 and up to 150 employees in 2027. The Brasov site will become a key manufacturing and operational hub within our European production network, creating exciting opportunities for professionals who want to contribute to cutting-edge defense and autonomous technology programs.

You will be working closely with stakeholders from the Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure the efficient assembly and production of Quantum Systems' UAV platforms. Your mission will be to assemble, test, and support the production of mission-critical systems while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational excellence.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

  • Assemble UAV systems, subassemblies, and components according to technical documentation and work instructions.

  • Perform production and assembly tasks in line with established manufacturing processes and quality standards.

  • Conduct basic functional checks and support testing activities during assembly.

  • Follow technical drawings, assembly instructions, and production procedures accurately.

  • Identify and report defects, non-conformities, and production issues.

  • Collaborate with Quality and Engineering teams to resolve assembly-related challenges.

  • Ensure production targets and daily output requirements are achieved.

  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and quality.

  • Ensure proper handling and care of production equipment, tools, and materials.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

  • Follow all health, safety, quality, and company regulations.


What you bring to the team:

  • Technical education, vocational training, or equivalent experience in manufacturing, assembly, mechanics, electronics, or a related field.

  • Experience in production, assembly, manufacturing, or workshop environments is an advantage.

  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, assembly instructions, and manufacturing documentation.

  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.

  • Experience working with hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.

  • Basic understanding of quality standards and production processes.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Reliable, disciplined, and quality-focused working style.

  • Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving production requirements.

  • Professional working proficiency in English is an advantage.

  • Romanian language
