About the Role// Robotics Software Engineer – Autonomous High-Speed Interceptor
We are building the next generation of fully autonomous air defense. Your work will power an interceptor designed for unprecedented performance under hard real-time constraints.
300 km/h top speed interceptor, rocket boosted.
10kW all-electric peak power delivery. Custom ESCs switch a peak of 200A for extreme maneuvering.
Hard real-time platform with an 8 kHz inner control loop frequency. Low-level flight control is managed by a deterministic STM32.
Built upon ROS2, Rust, and C++ for guaranteed performance and safety.
Target acquisition and tracking via a proprietary ground radar system. Direct integration with our Mosaic Ground Control Station for strategic decision-making.
Modular seeker head utilizing Thermal, Radar, RGB, and Audio for comprehensive perception.
Dedicated Qualcomm chip manages AI inference with an ultra-low 3ms latency.
Jamming-resistant video and telemetry links providing up to 60km range.
Your Challenge:
Your task is to tame this technological powerhouse with autonomy. You will guide this radical system from its intense, wild MVP phase onto a stable, robust, and scalable development path. You will be instrumental in defining the architecture that brings this high-performance system to full operational maturity.
The Team:
We operate with the agility and high degree of ownership of a tech startup, backed by the resources of a growing defense-tech company. Speed is the most important metric that counts.
What is Your Day-to-Day Mission?
Design and implement autonomous behaviors, mission software, and real-time control modules.
Define software architecture for high-reliability robotics systems under hard real-time constraints.
Develop, test, and optimize control loops, signal-processing pipelines, and perception interfaces.
Lead integration of ROS2, embedded code, and high-performance onboard compute.
Guide the development of AI-driven agents running on dedicated inference hardware.
Build robust CI/CD pipelines, simulation tools, and automated test frameworks.
Drive the interceptor platform from prototype to stable release-quality system.
Collaborate closely with avionics, AI, hardware, and flight-test teams.
What You Bring to the Team
Background in ROS2, embedded systems, and real-time robotics software.
Understanding of control theory, dynamic systems, and signal processing.
Experience with Rust or C++ in high-performance environments.
Experience supervising and guiding AI agents performing software development tasks.
Understands complex tasks, structures them cleanly, and delivers functional results.
Quality-driven mindset: testing discipline, code reviews, CI/CD, and documentation.
High degree of ownership and the drive to push technology from concept to deployed capability.
