Senior Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a passionate Senior Cloud Engineer to strengthen our growing cloud team. In this role, you will take ownership in shaping and evolving our Quantum Cloud - the backbone of Quantum-Systems’ cutting-edge aerial data solutions.

You will design, build, and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services that empower our unmanned aerial systems (sUAV) to deliver world-class data collection capabilities. With your expertise, you’ll directly contribute to Quantum-Systems’ mission to become the global leader in aerial intelligence.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and performant backend systems using cutting-edge technologies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and implement product requirements.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex backend issues to ensure system uptime and stability.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest backend technologies and cloud trends.

• Contribute to the overall architecture and design of our backend systems.

• Mentor and guide junior developers to help them grow and develop their skills.

What you bring to the team:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in backend development.

• Strong experience with designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based backend systems.

• Proven expertise in Azure cloud services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure Cosmos DB.

• In-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with data processing pipelines in a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
