
As a Team Lead Production, you will be a key part of our Production & Assembly Team, supporting the local manufacturing of advanced drone systems in Romania. Together with our World-Class Team, you will play an empowering role in delivering systems for one of Romania's most significant defense procurement programs, with drone assembly taking place entirely in Romania under the European SAFE initiative. The Romanian production site will not only support local defense programs but will also contribute to fulfilling customer orders across Europe and support the delivery of mission-critical systems for Ukraine, reinforcing Quantum Systems' commitment to strengthening European security and defense capabilities.
As part of this strategic investment, Quantum Systems is rapidly expanding its presence in Romania and plans to hire up to 50 employees in 2026 and up to 150 employees in 2027. The Brasov site will become a key manufacturing and operational hub within our European production network, creating exciting opportunities for professionals who want to contribute to cutting-edge defense and autonomous technology programs.

You will be working closely with stakeholders from the Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Production Planning teams to ensure efficient assembly operations and high-quality production output. As Quantum Systems continues to expand its industrial footprint in Romania, your mission will be to lead assembly teams, drive operational excellence, and ensure the successful delivery of mission-critical systems deployed across Europe and Ukraine.

What is your Day to Day Mission:
Lead, motivate, and coordinate assembly technicians and production personnel on a daily basis.
Supervise assembly operations and ensure production plans and priorities are executed efficiently.
Ensure compliance with assembly procedures, work instructions, technical documentation, and quality standards.
Monitor production output and support the achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
Identify production bottlenecks, quality issues, and process inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions where required.
Coordinate closely with Quality Control, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing teams to resolve operational challenges.
Support workforce planning, task allocation, and shift coordination activities.
Train, coach, and develop assembly technicians while fostering continuous skill development.
Support onboarding and qualification of new production employees.
Ensure production documentation and manufacturing records are accurately maintained.
Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
Escalate operational risks and support root cause analysis activities when production issues occur.
What you bring to the team:
Technical education or degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production environments.
Initial leadership or supervisory experience within a production or assembly team.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows, and quality standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and assembly documentation.
Experience working in aerospace, defense, automotive, electronics, or similar manufacturing industries is an advantage.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Hands-on mentality with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Professional fluency in English.
