Team Lead System Electronics (m/f/d)

As a Team Lead Electronics, you will lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for the electronic systems that power Quantum Systems' cutting-edge UAV platforms. You will combine technical expertise with people leadership, guiding the development of robust electronic architectures from concept through series production while ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.

Working closely with Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Software, System Integration, Flight Test, Supply Chain, and Production teams, you will drive innovation across our product portfolio and contribute directly to the success of mission-critical aerial intelligence solutions.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electronics engineers and technicians, fostering technical excellence and continuous growth.

• Drive the architecture, design, validation, and continuous improvement of electronic systems, PCBs, wiring concepts, and power electronics for UAV platforms.

• Own electronics development activities throughout the full product lifecycle, from prototype development to industrialization and series production.

• Coordinate cross-functional projects with software, mechanical, prototyping, manufacturing, and testing teams to ensure seamless system integration.

• Support technical decision-making, design reviews, root-cause analyses, and troubleshooting of complex electronic issues.

• Collaborate with suppliers, EMS partners, and manufacturing stakeholders to ensure quality, manufacturability, and timely delivery.

• Define engineering standards, best practices, and development processes to improve product reliability and team efficiency.

• Contribute to technology roadmaps and evaluate new components, architectures, and technologies for future products.

What you bring to the team:

• You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical discipline.

• You have 10 years of experience in electronics development, including PCB design, circuit development, and hardware validation.

• You have experience in using Altium Designer, Altium365, Jira, EPlan

• You have proven experience leading engineering projects, technical teams, or multidisciplinary development activities.

• You possess strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics, power electronics, embedded hardware, and system-level design.

• Ideally, you have experience with aerospace, UAV, automotive, robotics, or other safety-critical products.

• You are comfortable working across the full development lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, industrialization, and production support.

• You are a structured and pragmatic problem-solver who enjoys taking ownership and driving technical decisions.

• Communicating in English comes naturally to you; German language skills are considered a plus.
