  • On-site

About the Role

At Quantum Systems, we are moving fast across engineering, production, supply chain, testing, and external partners to bring a new class of interceptor systems into scalable production.

We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who brings structure, speed, and clarity into a complex development environment. You will coordinate timelines, dependencies, open actions, supplier status, purchasing inputs, engineering decisions, and cross-functional priorities across the Counter Domain program.

This role does not require decades of project-management experience. What matters most is ambition, ownership, follow-through, technical curiosity, and the ability to create structure in a fast-moving environment.

Your Mission

You will keep the program moving. You will make sure stakeholders are aligned, timelines are visible, blockers are escalated, suppliers are followed up with, engineering decisions are tracked, and critical parts arrive when they are needed.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

  • Build and maintain an integrated project plan across engineering, production, supply chain, testing, and external partners.

  • Track timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, blockers, open decisions, and action items.

  • Run regular internal and external status calls and ensure that every critical topic has a clear owner and next step.

  • Follow up with suppliers and partners on schedules, open questions, technical clarifications, delivery dates, and risks.

  • Work closely with purchasing to understand which components are long-lead, which suppliers are ready, and which engineering decisions are still open.

  • Bring structure into fast-moving technical topics and translate unclear status into clear actions.

  • Support engineering teams by identifying where delays, missing inputs, or unresolved dependencies could slow down the program.

  • Maintain dashboards, trackers, decision logs, risk registers, and milestone views.

  • Prepare concise status updates for leadership and cross-functional teams.

  • Coordinate readiness for tests, demos, production builds, supplier reviews, and design-freeze milestones.

  • Help define which parts of the BOM are mature and which still require engineering decisions.

  • Challenge teams constructively when timelines, ownership, or priorities are unclear.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Experience in project management, technical project coordination, operations, supply chain, engineering, production, or a comparable role.

  • Strong ambition and willingness to learn technical topics quickly.

  • Ability to understand technical components well enough to track dependencies and ask the right questions.

  • Very structured working style and high reliability in follow-up.

  • Strong communication skills with engineers, suppliers, production teams, purchasing, and leadership.

  • Ability to handle ambiguity, changing priorities, and incomplete information.

  • Good command of project tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, Excel, Google Sheets, ERP systems, or comparable tools.

  • Fluent English communication skills; German is a plus.

  • Ownership mindset and the ability to push topics forward without waiting for perfect instructions.

    • Experience in aerospace, defense, robotics, automotive, electronics, hardware production, or startup-like development environments.

    • Experience with supplier coordination, procurement, long-lead items, prototype builds, or production ramp-up.

    • Technical degree or prior hands-on engineering exposure.

    • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering programs with mechanical, electronics, software, production, and testing teams.
