Quantum-Systems is a global leader in UAV solutions, providing cutting-edge technology and support to governmental clients. As we expand our operations in Romania, we are focused on building a strong local presence that can support or current and future client pool in the country. This role is key to establishing our footprint in the region, with a small but dedicated team that will drive Quantum-Systems S.R.L.‘s growth and success. Support is a critical piece of this effort, and we are looking for a proactive Support Technician to help deliver exceptional service to our Governmental customers.
What is your Day to Day Mission:
Provide Direct Technical Support for Governmental Customers: Serve as the primary point of contact for our governmental customers, delivering first-line, specialized technical support tailored to their operational requirements. This includes troubleshooting UAV equipment, performing diagnostics, resolving issues, and providing on-site assistance as needed.
On-Site Maintenance, Updates, and Repairs: Perform Level 1 repairs, software updates, and maintenance tasks directly at customer sites, ensuring UAV systems are fully operational and meet customer expectations. This hands-on approach is intended to foster trust and strengthen relationships with our government customers in Romania, Moldova, and other countries in the region.
Ticket Management and Coordination: Manage customer support tickets related to UAV operations using Jira Service Management. Ensure timely responses and collaborate with R&D and other Quantum-Systems teams on complex issues.
Bridge Between Teams: Act as the key link between Romanian support operations and customers, as well as between customers and our headquarters in Germany. Facilitate communication and collaboration to address customer requests and enhance service delivery.
Support the Build-Up of Our Romanian Presence: As part of our growing footprint in Romania, you will play an integral role in shaping how we deliver support locally through Quantum-Systems S.R.L. You’ll collaborate with a small but dedicated team to drive our operations forward, with support being one of the key components of this growth.
What you bring to the team:
You have hands-on experience in technical support, ideally with UAV systems or similar technologies, preferably for governmental or defense clients.
You are skilled in troubleshooting and supporting UAV operations, including on-site assistance, Level 1 repairs, software updates, and maintenance activities.
You communicate clearly and effectively with both customers and internal teams.
You’re a proactive problem-solver with strong diagnostic and hands-on repair skills, comfortable working independently in the field, even under challenging conditions.
You’re familiar with Jira Service Management or similar ticketing tools; experience with ERP systems (ideally NetSuite) for spare parts or logistics management is a plus.
You don’t just fix issues – you improve processes. You contribute to better workflows, documentation standards, and create missing documentation when needed.
You hold a degree in a technical field (e.g. Mechanical, Aerospace, or Avionics Engineering) or possess equivalent work experience.
You have a valid driver’s license and are willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
You’re fluent in English and Romanian; German is an advantage.
You have a genuine passion for unmanned aerial systems and handle sensitive information with discretion, especially in governmental contexts.
