Technical Writer (m/f/d) - Quantum Frontline Industries

Quantum Frontline Industries (QFI) is a newly established German-Ukrainian defence joint venture between Quantum Systems and Frontline Robotics, created under the Build with Ukraine initiative. For the first time, Ukrainian drones will be manufactured on an industrial scale in Europe, combining Ukrainian battlefield-proven technology with German industrial automation to create a new model of cross-border defence co-production: the German Model.

As Technical Writer (m/f/d), you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products, processes, and production activities are supported by accurate, clear, and compliant technical documentation. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation throughout the entire product lifecycle, enabling efficient manufacturing, testing, quality assurance, and operational excellence.

Working closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams, you will transform complex technical information into structured documentation that supports both internal operations and regulatory compliance.

What is your Day to Day Mission:

  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve technical documentation, user manuals, work instructions, inspection procedures, assembly guides, and other controlled documents.

  • Support engineering and production teams by transforming technical information into clear, structured, and user-friendly documentation.

  • Manage document changes within the company's change management process, ensuring traceability and compliance.

  • Oversee the complete document lifecycle, including document creation, review, approval, version control, distribution, and archiving.

  • Ensure compliance with internal documentation standards as well as applicable industry regulations, quality requirements, and certification frameworks.

  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Flight Test, and other departments to collect, verify, and maintain technical information.

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of documentation processes, templates, and document management systems.

  • Maintain documentation consistency across products, manufacturing processes, and quality records.

  • Contribute to audit readiness by ensuring documentation is accurate, up to date, and readily available when required.

What you bring to the team:

  • Completed technical education, engineering degree, or a comparable qualification.

  • Previous experience creating, maintaining, and controlling technical documentation in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

  • Experience within aerospace, aviation, UAV, electronics, defence, automotive, or mechanical engineering industries is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of technical drawings, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office applications and document management systems.

  • Familiarity with change management processes, PLM systems, and documentation standards such as EN9100, ISO 9001, or similar quality management frameworks is an advantage.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to documentation.

  • Strong technical comprehension with the ability to simplify complex information for different target audiences.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments.

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills in English or German.
