Technical Writer

The role is based in the Kyiv region, and we will expect you to be in the office 3-4 days per week. So, no full remote is possible. We have a shuttle service from the nearest metro station.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join our technical documentation team. Your main responsibility will be to create and maintain a comprehensive technical knowledge base, including user manuals, reference materials, articles, and multimedia guides (video instructions).

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Develop technical documentation (user manuals, technical descriptions, operation guides, maintenance procedures, software update instructions, etc.);

• Create training materials, including step-by-step guides with visuals or video content;

• Maintain and update the internal knowledge base;

• Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to ensure accurate descriptions of product features;

• Validate content prior to release — ensuring clarity, completeness, and adherence to standards;

• Participate in developing technical writing standards and templates;

• Regularly update documentation according to new software or hardware releases;

• Prepare training materials for end-users.

What you bring to the team:

• At least 1 year of experience as a Technical Writer or Documentation Engineer (preferably in the aerospace, defense, or telecommunications industry);

• Proven experience creating both textual and multimedia instructions (videos/animated guides);

• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts;

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and structured thinking.

• Basic experience with version control systems (e.g., Git);

• Familiarity with localization management platforms such as Crowdin (used in agile development workflows);

• Ability to structure documentation using lightweight markup languages (e.g., AsciiDoc).

• English level — C1 or higher (for communication with the international team and documentation) 

• Native Ukrainian 

Nice to have:

• Experience working with military or aviation equipment;

• Understanding of UAV systems and principles;

• Basic knowledge of UI/UX principles for instructional content.

• Proficient in documentation tools (Confluence, MS Word) and video guide creation tools (Camtasia, OBS Studio, etc.);
