Operational Buyer (m/f/d)

As an Operational Buyer, you will be part of our Supply Chain Team and play a key role in supplier selection, procurement, and ensuring material availability for production. Together with our world-class team of currently five members, you will contribute to pushing the boundaries of drone technology.

You will work closely with stakeholders across Production Planning, Fulfillment, Product Management, Logistics, and Quality. Your primary focus will be to ensure that the right materials are available in the right quantities, at the right quality, and at the right time. Through your expertise in Supply Chain Management, you will help Quantum Systems advance its mission of setting the standard for aerial data collection solutions powered by unmanned aerial systems (sUAVs)

What is your Day to Day Mission:

• Manage the operational procurement of materials, components, and services.

• Ensure cost-effective, timely, and quality-compliant purchasing of products and services.

• Secure material availability to support serial production.

• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Production Planning, Logistics, and Quality teams.

• Maintain master data and process order confirmations, supplier order confirmations, and claims.

• Monitor inventory levels and initiate appropriate actions to prevent supply shortages.

• Communicate and build strong relationships with national and international suppliers.

• Support supplier performance evaluations and contribute to the implementation of improvement measures.

• Drive the continuous optimization of procurement and purchasing processes.

What you bring to the team:

• Degree or vocational training in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 3+ years of professional experience in procurement, purchasing, material planning, or a comparable role.

• Strong interest in technical products and manufacturing environments.

• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility as a valued business partner.

• High level of ownership, initiative, and motivation to drive your area of responsibility forward.

• Fluent in German.
